Marco Fulle is a professional photographer based in Italy specializing in nature and specifically, volcano photography. Marco’s photographic expeditions have taken him to the ends of the earth in search of amazing photographs of active volcanoes. This portfolio is one you have to see! Nature at its finest is the theme of Marco’s work.
Volcanic lightning, as captured on film by Fulle, is not a well understood phenomenon. These bolts are generated by a volcanic eruption and in general are more common with larger plumes. The images below represent but a small subset of photographs that Fulle has taken of Eyjafjallajokull and other volcanoes worldwide.
Renaissance man Marco Fulle was interviewed by Fox News this morning. Marco Fulle claimed that the Eyjafjallajokull photographs that he has taken are the most spectacular of his career. He said that this is due in large part to the fact that he was able to photagraph the Eyjafjallajokull eruption in close proximity and soon after it’s initial eruption. Apparently the amazing special effects and bedazzling lightning storms are best witnessed during the initial phases of a volcano.
