Frank Frazetta’s paintings opened the portals into the savage lands of doomed fantasy realms where Death Dealers, Infernal Monsters, Barbarians, Warlords and Amazons clashed under bleeding moons and wicked spells. His imagery, like H.R. Giger did for horror, shaped how we collectively envision the fantasy world of Sword & Sorcery.
He passed away today at 82. May you be greeted by a harem of fire-breathing Leopard Witches in the afterlife Frank! Don’t forget your battle axe and helmet…you’re gonna need it!
