– Independent short film – 2 years in the making – Endless hours of post
– 1 Canon HV20
– 7 Friends
– $1,200 budget for the full short film.
This film is not HL,HL2 or Opposing Forces. It’s a short fan film that takes place in the Half-Life world. Also, as a completely independent film, we wanted to have a creative voice in the movie and make it a movie that we would enjoy shooting. We took artistic freedoms and liberties, unfortunately most of those decisions were determined by our limited resources.

Is it possible if we slow down music or every day sounds, will the result make the audio sound better than the original? The answer is surprisingly, “Yes.”
Take the well-known theme to the blockbuster film Jurassic Park. This piece, written by famous composer John Williams, is great to listen to just by itself at normal speed. But thanks to a Soundcloud contributor by then name of birdfeeder, he took this renowned orchestral theme and slowed it down 100 times. The result not only gives us a new haunting piece of music that lasts about an hour. But it manages to amplify the emotional intensity of the score.
Paper Rad is a group of filmmakers that work together using found footage from all media resources to make mash ups. Their work is ill and pretty tripped out. Watch one or all three parts of their video “P-UNIT” made in 2005, it’s awesome.
It’s no wonder we haven’t discovered alien life yet when you realize that we are still discovering areas like this and new species on our own planet to this day. The cave below located in Vietnam is thought to be the largest cave in the world and was just discovered last year.
